count your blessings.

i'm just sitting here thinking about how blessed i am.

i have so many wonderful people in my life.
people that have helped shape me into the person i am today.
people that i continue to meet every day,
and that i love.

i can't believe how amazing the transition from salt lake life to logan life has been.
for the longest time, i've been ready to be here.
i counted the days down for months.

i just knew that this was the school for me.
i knew this was the life for me.
i was never nervous, really.
i just knew i would make friends.
i knew i would love it.

i wasn't wrong.

i am amazed every single day at the amount of love people have in their hearts.
i am so fortunate to have met so many wonderful friends.
i love walking around campus and seeing people that i know,
and meeting people i don't.

i love this place, you guys.
i guess i'm just thankful i'm here.
i'm thankful that this is my life.

it's a wonderful one, indeed.

xoxo.

story. of. my. life.

milk's favorite cookie

today i woke up with a head cold.

i'm running myself into the ground.
i think i've been doing too much
and not giving myself any breaks.

live and learn.

marianne and i decided to go get jamba juice to make me feel better :)
brilliant idea if i do say so myself.
(thank you timms/mcneal family for the gift certificate)

marianne is like my mother.
she told me not to go out tonight.
so i took her advice and stayed home.

it was nice.
i rearranged my room and did the laundry that has been waiting for me for a long time.

my cute neighbor and her friend came over and talked in my room.
it was a nice, relaxing night.

i then of course went to walmart with them.
because WHERE ELSE do i go???

linda, my favorite cashier, knows me by name.
she's really great.

i think i meet at least ten new people a day.

how lucky am i?

also.......
ever since i moved here,
this is like my favorite indulgance.

it's so weird.
i crave it in my veins.
sometimes i eat oreos as my meal.
someone please help me.
just help me.

but i guess one good thing
is that i've converted to skim milk.
never thought i'd see the day.

so i guess it's okay that i'm eating the oreos.
right...??

just help.

smores and stuff.

happy labor day!

this is how i feel right this very second.

i'm ever so tired.
i'm going to take a nap as soon as i'm done posting this.

i love having a day off of school,
especially because tomorrow i only have one class.

this weekend brynne and i went to bear lake with some guys we met from our apartment complex.
it was SO MUCH FUN.
it was this beautiful, big cabin overlooking the lake.
i think i said,
"this place is so beautiful.."
five hundred times.

but it was.

when we got there we were STRARVING so we decided on a BBQ.
i've been wanting to learn how to barbeque things,
so everyone decided they'd let me do the burgers.
brave of them...on account of:
I set the kitchen on fire the other night.
(in my defense....it was my first time using the ovens here).
but the burgers turned out well.
no fires.
thoroughly cooked meat.
it was great.

we went swimming and hot tubbing for a big portion of the night,
then
came back and watched
500 Days of Summer

love that movie.

we all just stayed up and talked forever.
i think i got two hours of sleep all night.

we were going to go cliff jumping this morning,
but we slept in much later than planned.
one of the guys had to get back to logan for something
so we didn't go.

it was so fun to go on a little trip with some fun people.

have i metioned.....

i love college.

party all day, party all night.

today was my first day of skipping class.
not intentionally,
but it happened.

slept right through my first class;
woke up twenty minutes before my second one started.
it was a great morning.
especially when a guy says to me,
"you look really tired today."

thanks.

i was tired today.
i still am, and it's 3:49 am.
it's okay though, because i can sleep as long as i want tomorrow.

this day was fun.
my last class was rudely interrupted by a fire alarm, so it was cancelled.

came home and made some yummy pasta,
went to DI with brynne and many new friends to shop for 80's attire.

ran to walmart,
lost my friends,
didn't have my phone, so of course i
was paged by customer service to come to the front.
........they love to embarass me.

tonight was the 80's dance.
blast.
my toenails are falling off,
people are brutal when they step on your feet.
i'm telling you,
people like it rough out here.
some girl was bawling because she got hit in the face.
hahahahahahahha

i got separated from my friends YET AGAIN.
for a good forty minutes.
had to act like i knew what i was doing.....
like i had friends and wasn't wandering aimlessly around by myself.

but let's face it, i'm a horrible liar.
i looked like an idiot.

i finally found my friends again.
but we lost Brynne.

anyways...
Christina, Aubree, myself, and a couple of Aubree's roommates all went to Village Inn
for breakfast at one in the morning.
we scarffed down a lot of food.

and then i took a dare to drink this concoction of syrap, tobasco sauce, salt, pepper, ketchup, and sugar.
i thought i was up for the challenge.

full. on. gagged.
in village inn.
had to run out and throw up in the bush.

i'm normally not even like that.

needless to say,
today was a good day.

phone...home...

can i please tell you about my science class i'm enrolled in
called:

Intelligent Life in the Universe.

it's all about aliens, and finding habitable life in other worlds.
my professor is THOROUGHLY convinced they're coming for us.
i get to sit through ninety minutes of:
"these people may want to contact us, or kill us. It's very possible."

jealous?

it's just so mandatory that i learn about these aliens in college.
i was lucky enough to purchase a $149.00 book on the topic.

i mean, i guess it must be a good read.

the good news is, if alien life is discovered before the end of the term,
our final is cancelled.

but hey,
it's coming.
